- No password collection. Instagram's Terms of Use say you can't request or collect Instagram usernames or passwords, misappropriate access tokens, or solicit or use other people's login credentials.
- No unauthorized automated access. The same terms say you can't access or collect information in an automated way without Instagram's express permission.
- No inauthentic activity. Instagram's Help Center says apps offering likes and followers in exchange for your login details are not affiliated with or endorsed by Instagram, and that accounts generating inauthentic activity go against its Community Standards. Instagram may remove that engagement, limit parts of the account, or disable or terminate it.
- No buying or selling engagement. Meta's Community Standards on spam, which cover Instagram, do not allow selling, buying or exchanging engagement such as likes, shares, views, follows or clicks. Its Inauthentic Behavior policy bans fake accounts used to deceive people about who an audience is, and Meta removes the fake accounts it finds.
